Romanian-Americans stand in solidarity with the Ukrainian Community in strongly condemning Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the loss of human life caused by this unprovoked attack on a sovereign nation.

 

With the war now at Romania’s border, our Diaspora urges decision makers in the US and all NATO allies, as well as the general public, to focus on providing critical assistance to Romanian authorities and civil society stakeholders involved in emergency response operations intended to provide needed humanitarian assistance and safe haven to incoming civilian Ukrainian refugees.

 

FORA, the Federation of Romanian American Organisations, is mobilising to fundraise in support of Ukrainian refugees and invites anyone who wishes to join us to donate via the RUF - Romanian United Fund’s Ukrainian Peace Fund, with the support of FORA and the Embassy of Romania in the US:
